Back from Australia!
Hello subscribers (and welcome new ones)! On Wednesday I returned from my long trip to Australia – plus a bit of Papua New Guinea and Nauru as add-ons. As before I now have tons of work ahead of me processing my thousands of photos, in particular those in RAW format from my main dSLR camera that first need developing. That alone will take quite a while. But in order to provide you with something sooner, I’ve put together a taster photo-essay Australia Blog Post using photos from a compact camera and smartphones. I uploaded that post earlier today. The photo above is one of those used in that new Blog Post. It shows warning signs you typically see along roads in the Australian Outback, especially the highway going all the way east-west across South Australia and into Western Australia. This particular set of signs was photographed at the Nullarbor Roadhouse. If you want to know what’s so dark about this, go and read the new Blog Post ;-) … hint: it is “dark” more for the animals than for humans, in general, especially for the wombats and kangaroos. This long trip has produced enough material for various Blog Posts to come over the next few months and possibly beyond. And of course it will also yield numerous all-new chapters for my main website as well as expanded and updated existing ones, also for Nauru. PNG will be a new country entry altogether eventually. And I haven’t even finished everything for Taiwan yet (the Kinmen chapters are still outstanding) … So no boredom in sight for me any time soon! I hope you’ll enjoy the initial Australia Blog Post. Any feedback or questions, I’m happy to receive them and respond. Have a good week! Best wishes, Peter
